Biomedical Engineering Internship Review by Vy

Biomedical engineering intern Vy from the Swinburne University of Technology.

“The internship went very well and it was very helpful in gaining new knowledge, I also learnt new skills and it was overall an enjoyable experience. My tasks and responsibilities include: preparing media, materials to use in the lab and samples, observing staff and assisting them with setting up within the lab and reception of delivery and also did some administrative such as data input on spreadsheet. I had one supervisor who guided me for the duration of my internship but the rest of my colleagues were very friendly and helped me as well. The internship experience was quite beneficial for my study and I mainly learnt how to work in a professional environment and present myself in a competent manner to fulfil tasks and efficiently manage my responsibilities. I also used a new software which was the network used within the company called, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).”
