“The overall feeling of this internship is great. Through this internship, I learned a lot of professional-related knowledge and gained a deeper understanding of the industry. It has broadened my horizons and has helped me in shaping my career path. My internship is a remote working setup, I really like the idea of how flexible it is. We basically conduct regular meetings, we communicate tasks and responsibilities. Our team ensures that everything is well communicated before ending our meeting.
As an IT intern, I’m mainly responsible for designing web based and mobile applications. I collaborate with the stakeholders to develop projects. I also prepare a status report of tasks and report to our supervisor on a weekly basis. Through this internship, I learned a lot of practical and IT skills, my main take for this internship was the ability to design and modify websites and basically enhanced my time management skills.
My suggestion would be to plan and prepare for your internship. Bear in mind that internships are not just merely for boosting your resume, but more importantly, it is a great avenue for learning and growing, both as an individual and as a professional. It is definitely a time where you can learn from real life skills and experiences, so always make the most out of it. When faced with unfamiliar asks, always clarify and ask, and do your best to perform well.”
