How to find students’ accommodation in Perth

Perth is the capital of Western Australia and is known as the Australia’s sunniest capital city. It is the fourth-most populous city in Australia and its suburbs lie along sandy beaches and the huge riverside Kings Park, also, the Botanic Garden offer a beautiful view of the city.
The best suburbs in Perth are Fremantle, Mount Lawley, Applecross, Floreat and Leederville. There are also fantastic suburbs that offer more affordable accommodation such as Landsdale, Bayswater, Maylands or Bibra Lake.
You can first stay in hostels and Guesthouses from $80 to $135 per week when you arrive in Sydney.
Then the best thing to do when you are a student is to live in shared rental house/apartment with other students or friends as it is cheaper (from $70 to $250 per week) and it is a great opportunity to learn English and share experiences.
Here are the main websites to find a suitable accommodation in Perth:
– Gumtree => Very famous in Australia, you can find everything you need in this website, not only for the accommodation.
You will have plenty of offers in Gumtree which makes it really useful for you to find what you want, you can even chose the suburb that suits you best. http://www.gumtree.com.au/
– Flatmates / EasyRoommate => These websites focus only on shared accommodation, you can add or remove some details to make the search more accurate and suitable for you (Private/Shared room, price, suburb, furnished/unfurnished, etc..).
Even if these website are really reliable, we highly recommend you to visit places before booking something, just to avoid any surprise. The best thing to do is to come in the City directly, to book first an hotel or a backpacker and then do some visits to take the good decision for your accommodation.
